If people are asking for a life story that could make them realize that negativity is not the end of things, then Mayra Veronica’s could be a very qualified one. Mayra Veronica, before becoming an established musician, underwent some rough times in her life. She had to make ends meet and now, she has been pretty successful in her career.

Aside from being a musician, Mayra is also involved in some humanitarian work. She does Tours with the USO, an activity organized by the United Services Organization (USO) which supports the troops of the U.S.A. Mayra is currently the spokesperson for the aforementioned organization.

Currently, her latest single, If You Wanna Fly, is scorching up the dance charts of Billboard with the single landing in the Top 10 of both Billboard Hot Club Dance and Billboard Dance Radio Play charts. The single also gained some success in the AOL Top Dance Radio charts by being in the Top 10 for 14 weeks.

What do I think about Mayra Veronica’s If You Wanna Fly? I think it is a very decent track that meshes pop and rock elements with relevant ease. The track can make some people dance alright and the overall polish of the track contributes in adding that upbeat vibe which 21st century dance tracks rely on to attract some listeners.

The sad part (or happy, whichever you prefer) is that a pop/rock version exists. This pop/rock version is what I prefer more, to be honest with you. The overall polish of the track makes it more suitable to everyone. I do think that the pop/rock version is more radio-friendly as well. Still, one cannot deny that both versions are actually good.

Haven’t listened to any of the versions of If You Wanna Fly? Do not fret! They are included in this post for your listening convenience.

This is the pop/rock version of If You Wanna Fly which I prefer more than . . .

Shakira revealed via Facebook the album artwork of her upcoming album, Sale El Sol (The Sun Comes Out).

For now, all I can say is that the shot on Shakira is well done.

As for the first single of Sale El Sol, the single cover is also now out! The single has a title of Loca and would have two versions: a Spanish version and an English version featuring Dizzee Rascal. The single cover can be found below:

Sale El Sol will be released on October 19, 2010

Finally, the music video for Taylor Swift’s Mine has arrived! The single is included in Miss Swift’s soon-to-be released third studio album entitled Speak Now. The ‘video breakdown’ post with screenshots will be posted this week. Stay tuned!

That is showing some swagger right there, Miss Kelendria!

First things first. Kelly Rowland will grace the cover of the September 6/13 issue of Jet Magazine. As the cover suggests, Kelly talks about all the drama that has happened in her music career as well establishing her own niche in the industry.

Here are other magazine scans for your pleasure:

The Canadian artist who brought us Ghost is back with a new single. The single has a title of Stuttering and will be released on September 7. Subsequently, Stuttering is actually the fourth single for the still unreleased Joy album of Miss Dobson. As an additional bonus, Stuttering could be acquired for free if you share the news via Facebook or Twitter (thank goodness social media is alive and kicking).

Taio Cruz has certainly been scorching it up lately in terms of chart success. Break Your Heart achieved some humongous success by being #1 in both the U.K and U.S charts. His collaboration with Ke$ha, Dirty Picture, peaked at #6 in the U.K charts. Currently, his latest single, Dynamite, has reached the top of the U.K charts while it sits currently at the #2 spot in the U.S charts. In this post, the focus would be on the remix of Dynamite which features Taio’s new labelmate, Jennifer Lopez.

Dynamite features some production that is to be expected from Taio Cruz. After hearing his recent material from his current album, Rokstarr, I have gotten accustomed to hearing some infectious beats which only improve the overall flourish of the track. The single is no exception. There is the usual upbeat vibe accentuated by the arrangement that may remind one of a chart botherer named David Guetta.

Ever since I heard Natalia Kills’ Zombie, I was honestly satisfied. My satisfaction rose to another notch when I heard Activate My Heart. With news that her first official single was out, I was absolutely ecstatic. The single is titled as Mirrors and will be included in her debut album, Perfectionist, which hopefully will be out later in the year.

What can I say about Mirrors? In one word, I can say this: BRILLIANT. How about two words? FREAKING FANTASTIC. It is quite obvious I am gushing over this single. The quality is top notch, no doubt. This is a song that is begging to be put on replay in your iPods, ladies and gentlemen.

JoJo Levesque may not be making any noise in the music scene nowadays (though she did supply some vocal work in Timbaland’s Shock Value 2) but she will be at it again with her upcoming mixtape entitled Can’t Take That Away. This mixtape is said to be the prequel to her third studio album which has a name of All I Want Is Everything. The first single from the mixtape, In The Dark, will be released on August 30 according to the songstress herself.

Again, the key details are as follows:

Release Date: September 7, 2010
In The Dark would be released on August 30, 2010

The teaser for Kylie Minogue’s upcoming single, Get Outta My Way, has been released. Yes, the moment that we have been waiting for is about to happen. I am absolutely excited for the release of the video and here are some screenshots that I extracted from the teaser:

The background reminds me of the so-called “Chair Routine” that made its debut in Kylie’s America’s Got Talent performance. What else is striking in this shot? The colors especially that of the floor. It seems vibrant for me.

Okay. This is actually my favorite shot in the teaser video. I actually do not know the reason why I love this shot but heck, who cares anyway.

Anyway, to view the video, I have embedded it in this post for your convenience. Enjoy watching!
