As we all know by now, Ryan Murphy, the producer of Glee is a big time Britney Spears fan and really wanted the show to have a Britney-centered episode in its second season even though Matthew Morrison initially was not happy about this idea by Mr. Murphy. Rumors started circulating about this and we only got confirmation a few weeks ago
As we also all know by now, Glee will be doing that Britney-centered episode which Murphy wanted from Day One. Also, Britney Spears herself would be appearing on the said episode. Pictures have risen and even Britney has posted some pictures through her Twitter account. I would like to share the pictures that I have seen as well as my comments on them.
With the first picture, we can safely assume that …Baby One More Time would be among the songs played in the episode with Lea Michele again doing the lead vocal chores. Sure she is one of the main stars of the show but I still would like to reiterate my stand that the other people included in the cast do deserve a chance to get some spotlight. After all, Glee is not named as the ‘Lea Michele Show.’
Speaking of other stars getting a chance to shine, a recent picture surfaced showing Britney with someone else. It’s not Lea Michele. It’s not even Dianna Agron. In fact, it’s Heather Morris! Heather Morris portrays Brittany in the hit TV series and this piece of news got me really excited!
Based on the picture, I think we can safely assume that Me Against The Music, Britney’s collaboration with the Queen of Pop, Madonna (who received the honor of having the first Glee tribute episode), would be performed in the episode. Hopefully, this turns out to be a fantastic episode.
With my interest on the show waning due to the influx of so many new stars, I sincerely hope the so-called ‘Britney Episode’ delivers big time – in terms of both storyline and song numbers. And oh, Britney, you still look fantastic. I simply cannot wait for this episode to air and yes, I am expecting this episode to match the quality that the ‘Lady GaGa Tribute Episode’ had.
