We all remember how Usher tore up the charts with his hit, ‘OMG’ which enlisted the help of musical butcher Will.I.Am. I was not exactly a fan of the track but I have to admit that it proved that Usher is back in the game. After garnering massive chart success with both ‘OMG’ and ‘There Goes My Baby,’ Usher went back to work and released DJ Got Us Fallin’ In Love, a collaborative effort with rapper Pitbull.

The single is basically one’s typical club-stomper loaded with electropop elements that make the track very chart-friendly. However, being chart-friendly does not necessarily mean that the track is automatically great. I do find problems with Pitbull’s verse. It just sounds so rubbish and should not have been even in the track in the first place. Overall, this may have had some big time success in the charts but that does not remove the notion that it is simply generic and the worst part is that it is also awful at the same time.
