When We Collide by Matt Cardle Single Review: When We Collide by Matt Cardle

I assume that by now, we all know who won the 7th series of X-Factor. Matt Cardle reigned as the winner in the latest series besting the likes of Rebecca Ferguson, One Direction (thank goodness they did not win), and Cher Lloyd along the way. Last series’ winner Joe McElderry covered Miley Cyrus’ ‘The Climb’ and made a cheesy impression with the way he did his rendition. This time around, Matt covered Biffy Clyro’s ‘Many of Horror’ and released his rendition under a new title When We Collide presumably in order to sell more records to the anticipating public.

The sad thing is that the cover will always get compared to the original. The sadder thing here is that the original is much better than the cover. The saddest thing however is the fact that Aiden Grimshaw should have won X-Factor this year and not Matt Cardle. There is no denying though that Matt is a better choice than One Direction or Katie Waissel. When all is said and done, this cover by Matt will be on top of the charts soon. The saddest thing is that the cover is undoubtedly a snoozefest. I guess all I can say to Matt now is “good luck.”
