There are songs that you heard in the radio done by artists that you never heard and you immediately want to ‘Google’ all the information that you can about the song that you just heard.
This is one of them.
Andy Grammer is currently a musician signed under Steve Greenberg’s S-Curve label. Andy Grammer also has opened for the band Plain White T’s. According to his Myspace, Andy has “established himself as a Road Dog, saying that Andy has played at over 100 colleges across the country.” Keep Your Head Up is actually his debut single and shows that his hard work throughout those years has finally paid off.
When compared to the most recent releases in music, Keep Your Head Up ends up as something smooth yet palatable to the senses. Simplicity is the main asset of this track and it shows. There are no warbling beats from the synthesizer in this track. Heck, no Auto-Tuned vocals can be heard in the track. I guess Andy Grammer’s signature sound is composed of life-related yet witty lyrics that can let the listener connect easily with the song and the message that it is trying to convey and soothing instrumentation that will not turn off any potential listeners.
Andy Grammer surely did ‘keep my head up’ after listening to this song. I definitely want to hear more songs from him after listening to his debut effort. If you have not heard Keep Your Head Up yet, please sure you do.
