Parachute is back with a new single that may be even better than their previously released single Something To Believe In (The Reflective Inklings review). Co-written with Grammy winners Lady Antebellum, Kiss Me Slowly, the title of the new single is packed with brilliant artistry that can catapult the band to massive heights.
Embellished with the driving piano, snappy guitars, and emotionally strong lyrics (“Darling, you don’t have to run. You don’t have to go” anyone?), Kiss Me Slowly has the makings of a track that can outdo Something To Believe In. Unlike Something To Believe In, Kiss Me Slowly does not possess any sound coming from saxophones and the track ends up as an easy offering that crosses the pop and rock genres with ease. Kiss Me Slowly is definitely an accessible track that can cater to lots of people. By lots of people, I really mean a lot of people.
Vocally, Will Anderson remains splendid. His easy yet charming vocal work deserves praises. In a time where pop tracks loaded with heavy and noisy production rule charts, Kiss Me Slowly ends up being a refreshing track that successfully gives the listener a track that he can turn to once the said pop tracks end up mercilessly torturing his aural capabilities.
Kiss Me Slowly is obviously one heck of a track that is easy to like (or love for that matter). What’s not to love with a track that provides a very pleasant listening experience?
