LectroLips, the name of the duo consisting of Antony Edwards and Leo Tarring, are back with a new track entitled Voyeur that again possesses what the duo has been known for – sexy synth sounds. Unlike their previously released track What We Came For (The Reflective Inklings post), Voyeur starts slowly and lets the synth grooves simmer until the pace builds up. Voyeur is really a sensual track and it shows even in the lyrics (“I wanna touch myself again” anyone?). I really love the way the track closes – it feels sudden yet it also feels that the way it was executed was actually good.
So what do I think of Voyeur? I have to say I actually dig the record. It is another delectable electropop offering from LectroLips. The lyrics are playful in a sense yet they remain committed in capturing the essence of the track and successfully did just that. The duo keeps on utilizing their strengths musically without sounding stale at all. Good job!
