Tinie Tempah might still be wondering if he should act because of Blue stealing the tune of his single Written In The Stars with their entry I Can in the Eurovision Song Contest. Well, I was just kidding with the “wondering if he should act” part but I ain’t kidding when I said that I Can sounds freakishly similar to Written In The Stars.
Anyway, Tinie has been intensifying his efforts in making himself known to the U.S audience. Wrestling fans have heard Written In The Stars countless times due to the track being the official song for WrestleMania 27. Tinie has also appeared in various late night talk show programs such as Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Show with David Letterman, and Conan.
His latest effort, Till I’m Gone, enlists the help of another musician, the Black and Yellow rapper Wiz Khalifa. Unlike Pass Out, I see the Stargate-produced Till I’m Gone connecting with the U.S audience with its catchy synths that have been prevalent in records that have come out in recent memory. However, the rap verses are not exactly mind-blowing with the 2:38 part being freakishly annoying. This new effort from Tinie is pretty underwhelming. We all know that he can craft a well-done tune with Written In The Stars. I just do not see this succeeding that much unlike Written In The Stars but who knows.
Better than: Frisky
Not as good as: Written In The Stars
