All Time Low All Time Low Covers Britney Spears Hold It Against Me for BBC Live Lounge

All Time Low, the rockers from Baltimore, covered Britney Spears’ Hold It Against Me in their recent visit to BBC Live Lounge. The band, who will release their fourth studio album Dirty Work on June 6 in the U.K and June 7 in the U.S, performed Spears’ lead single from her Femme Fetale album because “it seemed like it would be fun.”

The band tries its best to give justice to Spears’ hit and honestly, I think it somehow succeeds. It is arguably not the best cover that existed in the planet but it still remains as an enjoyable cover. It does not beat the original but as I have said, it is a very passable effort albeit it is a bit noisy with the guitars showing too much edge in spots. Alex Gaskarth’s trademark vocals remain untouched in their live performance and you have to wonder why the band chose to cover Britney in their BBC Live Lounge performance. It was indeed a fun cover by the band and I am glad I heard this though that song choice still makes me scratch my head.
