Honestly, I thought that Jason Derulo would be one of those artists who end up releasing very poppy singles that end up charting moderately well but when releasing an album comes into question, he suddenly falls short though he think that the ‘sky is the limit’ for him as an artist.

This latest offering of his just proves that what was once a very promising future is starting to become bleak.

Dont Wanna Go Home Jason Derulo Jason Derulo Does Not Want To Go HomeWhy? This new single is just ridiculous in many levels.

The obligatory and somehow increasingly annoying “Jason Derulo” introduction phrase makes its presence felt anew – a stark reminder that Jason Derulo is here to stay whether we like it or not. The problem with that is it has become massively atrocious. We must not forget that he actually wanted to “use his shades to cover up his eyes” – exhibiting lyrical brilliance that can only be matched with Pitbull’s rap verses.

Don’t Wanna Go Home even uses that famous line from Day O (The Banana Boat Song) and treats it as if it its long lost son – giving care and paying lots of attention to it in the process. However, the appeal quickly wears off – showing once again that its quality is simply lackluster and the track lacks any polish whatsoever.

Is Don’t Wanna Go Home one of the year’s most ridiculous songs? Absolutely. There is nothing groundbreaking with this new offering from Derulo whatsoever. Is he starting to become one of those artists that are annoying? Not exactly. However, as this single shows, his craft is getting tiresome – filled with generic elements that litter the place.

Some people will dig this new offering from Derulo simply because they can dance to it. I cannot blame them for that but as a whole, this is just atrocious. No wonder Derulo does not wanna go home.
