This week has become a ‘Lady GaGa Week’ of sorts in the blog. Mother Monster’s latest album Born This Way has just been out and you can read my thoughts on the album if you like. Since ‘GaGa Fever’ is not over (at least on my part), I decided to share to you my favorites among all the singles that GaGa has released. Please take note that I did not include promotional singles in this playlist for I do not consider them as official singles. This playlist will include 8 tracks. As usual, I welcome your musings. Just share them via the comments section of this post.

GaGa enlisted the services of another diva who goes by the name of Beyonce for this track which was released as the second single for Mother Monster’s The Fame Monster EP back in 2010. The result is a very fun track that saw both pop stars belt it out yet they did not overpower each other vocally.

7. Paparazzi (The Fame)

People may remember this track for the part in which GaGa confesses “I’m your biggest fan / I’ll follow you until you love me / Pa-pa-paparazzi!” but Paparazzi makes it into the list simply because it portrays GaGa as this obsessive lover who is willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants.

6. Alejandro (The Fame Monster)

The video for Alejandro is simply visually stunning albeit it did look as if I was watching a soft-core pornographic flick. I even consider the said video to be better than the recently released video for Judas. “Ale-ale-alejandro” may have won most of the people but the part that won me over is “Hot like Mexico rejoice!

5. LoveGame (The Fame)

Let us have some fun / This beat is sick / I wanna take a ride on your disco stick“. Enough said.

Just Dance Lady GaGa Screenshot The Favorites Among The Released: My Playlist of Lady GaGas Singles

4. Just Dance (The Fame)

The single that started it all for GaGa in the mainstream scheme of things. People also got to know a producer who goes by the name of RedOne. The GaGa-RedOne partnership is still very much alive up to this day, if I may add.

The Edge of Glory by Lady GaGa2 The Favorites Among The Released: My Playlist of Lady GaGas Singles

3. The Edge of Glory (Born This Way)

Originally released as a promotional single, The Edge of Glory eventually ended up as the third official single for Mother Monster’s Born This Way LP. There should be no surprise why such happened since The Edge of Glory is a downright sexy single. The saxophone breakdown is sexy. The power chords are divine. This is the single that got my faith restored after somehow beginning to doubt her capabilities after getting disappointed with Born This Way and Judas.

Poker Face Lady GaGa Screenshot The Favorites Among The Released: My Playlist of Lady GaGas Singles

2. Poker Face (The Fame)

This is the track that I consider as the best in GaGa’s The Fame. It has an addictive chorus and that “ma-ma-ma-ma” bit helps the cause as well. Her live performance of Poker Face on American Idol still gives me the chills.

Bad Romance Lady GaGa Screenshot The Favorites Among The Released: My Playlist of Lady GaGas Singles

1. Bad Romance (The Fame Monster)

Ra-ra-ra-ah-ah-ah / Roma-roma-mama” still remains relevant among people who have heard Bad Romance. Bad Romance is what I consider as the best among all the singles that she has released so far. The track displays Lady GaGa’s skills as an artist at their peak. The chorus is drop dead gorgeous. The songwriting is top-notch, I have to say. Bad Romance is the granddaddy of GaGa’s tracks and delivers with a knockout punch that can effectively convince your aural capabilities to just listen and enjoy a track that is absolute top-class.

This ends the playlist. There will be another playlist up this week which will talk about my favorites among the unreleased tracks from Lady GaGa.
