This week has turned into a “Beat of My Drum Week” of sorts.

As I have said in my post about the single, Beat of My Drum is a deserving contender for 2011′s ‘Song of the Year.’ So yes, Beat of My Drum is a spectacular audio masterpiece. What about its visual counterpart? Well, we can answer that question now thanks to the premiere of the video for Beat of My Drum!

So here are my thoughts on the video:

  • 0:11 mark – It seems Nicola is motioning that she can handle this
  • 0:26 mark – I get it, Nicola. You are one strong woman.
  • 0:30 mark – So what is that dance move called? Nicola does sure know how to shake her booty baby!
  • 0:41 mark – And “Teaser #1″ finally appears.
  • 1:04 mark – Oh! #Teaser #2″ says hi!
  • 1:30 mark – I am definitely loving the choreography, I have to say.
  • 1:46 mark – Nice to see Nicola lead a “marching band.” This is also the first appearance of the titular drums.
  • 1:48 mark – Unofficial “Drum Appearance” Counter: 2
  • 1:53 mark – Unofficial “Drum Appearance” Counter: 3
  • 1:54 mark – Unofficial “Drum Appearance” Counter: 4
  • 1:56 mark – Unofficial “Drum Appearance” Counter: 5
  • 1:59 mark – Unofficial “Drum Appearance” Counter: 6
  • 2:03 mark – 7th appearance for the drums. I think I should have not counted the number of their appearances.
  • 2:05 mark – Oh dear. It’s #8 for the drums.
  • 2:08 mark – #9 makes itself known.
  • 2:09 mark – Nice multicolored sweater, Nicola. (Unofficial “Drum Appearance” Counter: 10)
  • 2:12 mark – 11th appearance by the drums
  • 2:18 mark – Nicola Roberts, you are one gorgeous woman.
  • 2:31 mark – Nice usage of the cheerleaders, I have to say.
  • 2:58 mark – And so the video ends. It is a visually great video.
  • Last tally for the drums says they had 11 appearances in the video.

Just like its audio counterpart, the video for Nicola’s Beat of My Drum is simply amazing. The choreography was effortlessly breathtaking. Nicola looked fantastic too. In conclusion, Nicola has released a very amazing video that should be marked as “must-watch” for pop music fans.

    This is one of the best pop songs of the year, hopefully it will get the recognition it deserves here in America, because in the UK i’m sure “Beat Of My Drum” is gonna be a major hit!
