The City by Madeon is Simply Awesome
The City by Madeon is one of those pop gems that just amazes you right after you hear it.
Yes, The City by Madeon is one of this year’s pop gems.
Once I heard The City some time ago, I immediately thought that Madeon may probably be one of those guys who will end up as one of the music industry’s hottest producers. This City has legitimate pop power that booms right in your face once you listen to it. The elements of the track fall perfectly into their places. The vocal is downright splendid. It does not sound contrived and you have to say that Madeon made the right move in choosing Zak Waters to do the vocal duties. If you think you might be starting to get bored of the song, a sudden arena chant-filled section comes up and saves the day. Honestly, I do think that even if I can only hear the instrumental of this track, I would still end up as a happy music listener. It is that good.
The City is a cleverly done pop gem. It has this charming and convincing personality that just tells you to listen to it endlessly and you do such mindlessly yet still be satisfied in the end simply because it is awesome. It is also surprising to find out that Hugo Leclercq a.k.a Madeon is only 18 years old. Exciting times for pop are due to come with him probably contributing some of his genius to these exciting times.
So yes, The City by Madeon is simply awesome.
